Getting the Wheeling Fever
I had a tire go flat in the supermarket parking lot the other day, as I rolled the flat tire to the back of the Jeep I saw a big chunk of wheel missing and a small crack (thanks tire shop!) and as I rolled the spare over, it too had a chunk missing,

Where can I find at least a pair of light colored Grizzly wheels, I have been lookin on Craigs list for a couple of weeks with no luck.

Sorry bout not knowing anything about wheels with names.. I doubt I'd know a grizzly wheel from a stock wheel. But I do know this... If I had two wheels that were cracked or otherwise screwed.. I'd go get me FOUR strong STEEL wheels and put them last grizzly wheels up on craigslist.. If what you do with that jeep is ruining aluminum wheels then you need to think again about what you are using.

If you really want to keep them, there are wheel repair companies that repair cracked and/or broken aluminum wheels, but your best bet is to replace them, as Big Jim recommended. The repair usually costs around $100 each, new steel wagon wheels cost around $60 each.

Thanks for the reply's guys, I think they were probably broken by a want-a-be tire man in the past, probably before I bought the Jeep.

Grizzly wheels look like the old American racing wheel in the 60's. (remember Steve McQueens Mustang in the movie Bullit), the new Jeeps have real simular wheel, but the spokes (there are 5) are flattened out, mine at much more rounded, almost to a point. The Grizzly wheels came light gray almost silver in 96, later they were painted a dark gray for a year or so, then to the latest style.

I have beem watching Craigs List and seen most in the other 3 corners of the country, considering that they are an alloy, I would like ot pick them up to make sure they aren't damaged, and second to keep the truck monster from damaging them

thanks again for the suggestions
Doug
