This is it AzCrew is making the official Mitsu club website! ClayTK is building the site, it will have member profiles, picture hosting and a place for us guys building stuff to advertise our products collectively with personal E-mail accounts for sellers. The site will also be tied to search engines to generate more traffic, I also have a bunch of ideas for RockRash Offroad and involving you other guys building things for mitsus. If anybody has important links or content that should be on the official site post it here.

That's interesting Adam, but don't we have all of what you want/listed and then some here on the wire?

I think it's ok to have duplication on the internet so long as I'm not the one having to post things up 2x.

Ok well heres my thoughts, yes I want a tech section but it will probably be a wiki so everyone can contribute on their own without dealing with a webmaster, as for the photos yes I plan on having some kind of gallery. The best scenario being that everyone will have their own section to upload pictures and basically a profile with a main picture and the details of their rig. That will be in the future. I will probably just link to the 4x4wire BBS instead of having a separate one since everyone is on here. Although I would like to get the experience on building my own BBS and managing it as well. Plus (no offense to admins) but I can?t stand censorship so yes it will be say whatever u want kinda thing as long as its not way out of line.

But first thing is first come up with a good domain name or 10, figure out hosting and then ass the goodies after main structure of site is done.

I like the ideas here, and look forward to contributing if I can.

I will add though, that I've been a part of the wire for 10 years, and beyond the system editing out a few *bad* words and myself and the other mods editing a few inflammatory/libellous comments (and there have been VERY few on here in 10 years), I'd never consider that we ever +censored+ anyone... maybe I'm biased?

Pic hosting can grow very quickly - but if each new member has to go through an approval queue, this can be managed. I appreciate the suggestions of leaving in the "NORTH" part of North America. There are a lot more Mitsu owners on your side of the border than ours, but we're still passionate about our rigs.

Here's my vote: Mitsu4WDclubNA.org

I think I like 3diamond4x4 and Mitsu4x4 we can get .com .org and .net as well as others. There is also a .us so 3diamond4x4.us/.com/.org/.net/.info(REAL CHEAP)

Mitsu4x4.us/.com/.net/.org/.info etc....

I am in complete agreement - the closest to censorship I've seen here has been a strong recommendation to someone to modify the attitude or wording of their post. This forum is the most open and approachable anywhere on the web with virtually none of the egos & attitudes that tend to dominate most other forums of this type. I appreciate the atmosphere that the mods have created and completely support the "censorship" that is responsible for it.

I think he just wants to curse, wich is odd because in real life i rarely hear him even say any "bad" words. Me on the other hand especially while playing video games every other word starts with FU or SH.

To be sure I side track this thread like I normally do... I will have to say AFAIK Littlejoe (he was our original Mitsu Mod IIRC) was centric to our moderation philosophy so some kudos needs to go to him for sure.

As for a club site name, I really don't care what it's called so long as its easy to tell someone and easy for them to remember.

To me this means minimum punctuation (hyphens, etc) and KISS on the name/url.

As for owners being north of the border I agree and did that when I build the 2nd iteration of our club site (after Justice made the first one), it's exactly why I chose to use 'North America' versus USA.

Unfortunately both those sites are now gone after Yahoo decided to shut down all their geocities websites.
