My passanger door glass was busted out by some punk kids, so I bought a new window for $40. I didnt notice the new glass didnt have the mount on the bottom so I asume you can use the old one and use some kind of epoxy to glue it in place?

Can anyone help me out? I cleaned all the glass and old epoxy out of the old bracket, now I just need to properly install it on the new glass.
Thanks

I pulled the rubber insulator off the window bracket and used silicone to glue it to the window. I laid a small bead of silicone to the channel and then slid the window in place. The silicone was clear and ensured the window stayed put.

Take your rig and glass parts to a local body shop and ask for assistance.

Most body shops up here (Seattle) are very friendly and don't mind giving advise as long as it doesn't turn into a long winded ordeal.

The way to do it is to pull it apart , clean the rubber gasket real good (spread it open and wire brush it ) to get any rust / dirt out . When installing it on the new window , with the rubber in the channel, lube with a little soapy water and push onto the glass. When it dries it will grip just fine.

I believe he's talking about the moveable glass ... right? If so, have somebody show you or you could break the glass and be out another $40

Thats what I got out of his post. Thats the problem I'm having. Mine is the roll up drivers window.

There's a fastener or fasteners that attaches to the bottom of the glass that fit to the regulator which moves the glass up and down.

The process of attaching this fastener needs to be done correctly or you'll have headaches for sure.

Since I can't show you myself, I suggest swinging by your local body shop so they can take 5 minutes to show you.
