Hi everyone,
I'm finally ready to regear with lockers due to a good combination of circumstances.
I got a couple estimates, one from East Coast Gear Supply and one from Just Differentials.
ECGS is about $328 cheaper but I have to send the cores back within 3 weeks. JD will send the complete units and I don't have to send anything back to them. That means that I will have the older 4.10 3rds to swap back if needed. The thirds are in good shape as far as I know.
It's going to cost probably $50/3rd just to ship them back so the price savings is really more around $228.
So does anyone have any thoughts or advice? I saw in another thread that Eric was going to put the original 3rds back in before selling.
Thanks in advance.

Personally I'd keep them, but then I have a couple reasons:
1) When it comes to Toyota cores, the junkyards up here get stripped pretty quickly; 2) Shipping a core from here to almost anywhere isn't cost effective; 3) Always nice to have some aw-hell spares around if you do have to put it back to stock, or plan on selling the rig later.
Just my plugged nickels. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the reply. That's the conclusion I ultimately came to as well. It would have been around $90 to ship them back and like you say, then I'd be without spares. The new ones should be on my doorstep this thursday.
