OK I know it's a long shot but the Frontier I bought could use better tires and instead of fronting the money for new ones I am wondering if anyone knows if my Mitsu american racing 16" steelies with my Cepek tires will fit the Frontier.
What I know is that with a leveling kit 285/75/R16 will go on. I know that both sets of rims are a 6 bolt pattern. Yes I could test fit cause both truck and wheels are outside. Unfortunately with a herniated disc in my back I am restricted to not test fitting.
SO I am bored and asking the question instead

if your Frontier is an 2005+ you are out of luck, they have the small 6-bolt pattern like the Dodge Dakota.

Even if you swap rims your 285's are a little on the wide side. If you did a 2" lift and changed the upper controle arm you could run the 285-75. PRG makes the controle arms. I don't like leveling kets, I went with new springs myself.

I forgot to mention: If you are looking to do a lift or upgrade the 'ol suspension I just finished lifting my Frontier and have a set of new shocks and struts for sale. http://calgaryimport4wd.org/ci4wd/showthread.php?126-2005-2009-Frontier-X-SuspensionMy nest upgrade will be bigger tires. I have the 268/75/16 right now, but I'm thinking a size bigger would be in order for a lifted truck... trade? Maurie

Thanks. I thought the bolt pattern looked a bit tight compared to the mitsus. I read in this one companys site that claimed with the 2" lift in the front and inch block in the back that my old big tires will fit but it would be the maximum. That being said I think I will just buy old stock sizes and leave this truck alone since its a highway runner and light dirt road runner only. May still do the 2/1" front and rear lift just for those cross ditches in some of those places I seem to find.
