Looking to beef up my steering and also try and improve my ride, any ideas or advice? Ive also found a beefier idler arm by total chaos fab but am not sure if 1) its worth the money and 2) how effective it will be to help improve the sloppy steering. Heres a link to the part, its a little ways dwn on the page:

The TC idler is awesome and worth the money. I've been running one for a few years now. No more idler issues. Very happy with it.
It may not solve all your sloppy steering problems though, since there are likely other worn parts.

your prob right about it not solving my sloppy steering 100% but is it a noticeable difference for the price im payin? Also what other upgrades/replacements do you think will work best with the addition of the idler arm upgrade?

It just depends on what the current cause of your sloppiness is. If its a worn out idler, then it will help. If the problem is elsewhere, then its not going to change much except be stronger and last a whole lot longer.

The idler arm is all I upgraded in the steering. As far as maintenance, at around 260k I took apart the steering box and tightened it up a bit (input shaft preload) and that helped with sloppiness too.

I haven't had any tire wear issues or needed an alignment since I put in the TC idler.

Check out the video in this post I put up a while back. See if your idler has any of the same play.
