it has A/C but compressor was removed. going to look for one. the lines are there but cant find the power wire hook up any where. where does the wire come out from? there are 4 sensors by the thermostat. a/c, temp gauge, and another that looks just like the temp gauge. says for A/T. ok what is the one for the A/T? and again you guys are awsome. Im learning so much and enjoying it.. thanks again!!!!

You should have a temp switch for the a/c (turns a/c off on overheat), a temp switch for the a/t (diables o/d when engine is cold), a temp gauge sender (fat single wire), and a temp sender for the fuel injection ecu (two wire with connectors in a tee shape).

Slow, fast, or rough? Rough (usually rich with a gassy smell from the exhaust) is a bad ecu temp sensor, mostly. Could also be a bad adjustment on the throttle position sensor. Slow or fast, usually slow, is a bad idle control unit, under/behind the TB. This assumes new plugs and good wires. NGK's are the best plugs, and nearly the best wires in my book.

700 rpm rough idle. when cold really rough when warm its better. reason to me is its hotter to burn the gas. ordered a new 02 sensor. it looks org. lots of black smoke when cold. (rich) new plugs cap rotor wires. I change them after replacing head gasket. ran changed again and they were black with soot!!!! really rich.

many thanks

If you don't already have an A/C unit, I believe any 3.0 AA or AJ body MOPAR (Chrysler LeBaron, Dodge Sprit, Plymouth Acclaim) uses the same compressor.

Interestingly, a mid-90's Honda Accord (IIRC) uses the same compressor, but spinning counter-clockwise.

Loren, would you PLEASE go to 'My Home' at the top of the page and edit in a signature that includes your year and model? You'll streamline things that way, 'cause we can't all remember what you drive.

And for the record, MxMikie is the King of Short Answers. Apparently not much into details, that guy, although he seems to know what he is talking about. See what comes up doing a search under IAC in the Mitsu Tech Section, resetting the time frame to say, five years.
