Update:
I was in a hurry when I made my first post.
My Runner has 150K on it. It is the 3.0 engine. 2 Years ago I did a Timing belt and all the front parts. I did not do a valve adjustment. Last summer I noticed that on a long trip I could hear a lot of valve noise. I also noticed a coolant leak in a hard to reach spot. I fixed the leak and I did not drive it over the winter. Last week I started it and took it into Toyota. The dealership did a valve adjustment and lube & Oil. When I picked it up it was running way better. On my way home that evening I decided to see If I got some power back. I accelerated as I was climbing a hill, only to have it buck and sputter. I had put fresh gas into it before on my way to the dealership. And I notice that when ever I slightly lug or power hard I get the stumbling and hesitation. New plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor Etc.
Any Ideas? TPS.... MAF???

Start with the TPS; root of all evil.
BTW, there isn't a valve adjustment on the 3.0, as it's all shimmed. What they would do is check the clearances to ensure stuff was in tolerance. If anything was out, they would reshim as needed.
If you have a K&N setup on your rig, then you also might have a dirty MAF wire.
Do one thing at a time, so you don't snowball yourself and get confused with what you've done. Should get you started anyway.

Judging by the amount of crud I've seen in 3vze manifolds and throttle-bodies I wouldn't be surprised if your throttle position sensor (TPS) wasn't gunked up. I've had the problem on 22RE engines. I was able to solve it with solvent. A couple of drops of Gumout carburetor cleaner in where the shaft enters the sensor had mine working again. Go easy though. Don't use more than a small amount. No telling what it would do to the internals of the sensor if it got to far in there. -- Matt

Ok so I took it back to the dealership because: One it had a major coolant leak after they worked on it. And two because of the sputtering issue. I wont even get into the customer services issues at that place....... But...
they said it was either the TPS or the MAF? I asked well witch one? He goes could be either. So I said well lets start with the TPS. I ask how much is is going to cost? He tells me $130 for the part... $120 in labor! I said... "dude you charged me $400 for an entire valve job"? you are telling me it takes an hour and a half to do a TPS? He said it is a very difficult process! I said Do it! then he tells me it will be a week to get the part! I laughed and left. Picked up an OEM - Denso exact match TPS from Autozone for $75 took me 30 mins to install and adjust it. Apparently that was the problem. It seams to run pretty well now!
Thank you all for the help!!!!

Ver' cool. For the most part, I consider myself lucky; we have a pretty decent Toyota dealer up here, as well as an independent guy who works exclusively on Toyotas and Subarus.
For your future reference, we do have (in part) a link for a '93 FSM in the early trucks section; check the sticky post. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
