I Have a 92 yota 4x4 reg cab 22RE pickup and my speedo works when it wants to. I changed out the sensor and instrument cluster and all worked well for a few months then all of the sudden my speedo is at 0 but odometer is woking. Then after driving for a while the speedo will bounce and either start working or it'll stay on 0. I kinda feel it's a electrical problem but not sure. What could it be??? Any help would be appreciated.

I have the opposite problem in my 92 4Runner. Speedo works but odometer is intermittent. Either way it's usually the same issue from what I've looked at. Mine turned out to be electrical and in the gauge cluster itself. You may be having the vise versa of the problem. The old toyo guru up here says there's a diode or something in there that burns out.
I never even worried with replacing mine, it's beyond mechanical limits anyway (according to the state). I just installed an hour meter and base my fluid changes and checks on that like the gennies I work on. Those things can run @ 4500 rpm all day and we only change their oil every 500 hours, I figure the Yote is safe at 100 hours of operation between oil changes.
