A while back I saw a post here or on another forum regarding an inexpensive, but good, straight edge (for checking block flatness, etc). I can't find that post. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Thanks. The post I am referring to was for a high accuracy straight edge that was very affordable. I forget the details, but it was something along the lines of that the tool was used in another industry outside of mechanics/machining, and just happened to be a highly accurate straight edge. I could totally be remembering this wrong.
