went to look at the fuel gauge sender that was leaking. well for good reason. the plate around the hole for the sender has 3 bolts. well there looks to be a ring that holds the bolts. well the ring rusted and only being held on by 2 bolts. when removed it looks to be rusted beyond repair. is there a fix to this? I was thinking to make a new plate and bolt it down and run new stud bolts through it. or removing the fuel pump and bolting it down using nuts and bolts. then replacing the fuel pump after bolted down. the sender does not work so Im getting a new one. so this should be the last time anyone needs to screw with it...whats your thoughts???
many thanks loren
