The two door models fly better than four doors do. The shorties are a bit less nose-heavy and tend to not nose over as quickly in a jump. Toasty should be one of the first to acknowledge this fact.
In any case, they can take it, but let's not get carried away.

Well thanx, ya?ll are pretty confident so I suspect though mine is a diesel tank of a LWB it?s probably not going to break in half if I catch a little air with it. Besides, if I really wanted big air I would have to get a tow from something with a bigger motor first, hee hee. I think I and my Montys suspension got off to a bad start because of its condition when I bought it, combined with it?s short travel design. Those two factors combined to make for a hellish trip home over the Andes that had me wanting to sell it before I even had it home, absolutely the worst I have ever experienced, bouncing between what felt to me like an inch and a half of travel. Since then, cutting the stops down (all four) and getting some quality shocks on it made a tremendous improvment but I?m still not quite happy yet. I?m thinking that some new torsion bars with Gen II UCAs, and GenII rear coils will have me feeling pretty comfy with the system. Also, my GASAJUSTS have loosened up a bit in the last couple weeks, they were awesome for the first 3 days, but now they have me thinking MONOMAX..(I have no idea why I felt compelled to capatilize the shock names). I?m liking my little truck quite a bit lately, the build quality is very clearly superior, looking forward to making more improvments on it. One thing is sooner or later I?m going to be bugging the UK guy?s for ways to boost up me ponies a bit. On a treasonous note, anyone driven a 7X series Landcruiser? You know, the modern ones but with fenders, third world looking? In about 99 they changed from front leaves to T bars, I drove a later T bar type once over the Andes a couple years ago and holy crap, very nice ride. Anyone besides me want one? I?ll hook you up. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j08qu7Hx4Is

I was in the pass. seat of the DougB jump. I believe he was running Old Man Emu shocks. I dont remember if he had heavy duty torsion bars or air bags in the rear coils or not.
I just want to tell you both good luck, and we're all counting on you.

I had an experience in the high desert (DV) where a big dip "snuck" up on me... My OME suspension handled it amazingly! The Monty was launched a solid 25 feet down the trail without a dent or scratch...

Mmm, something similar happened to me once but on a motorcycle and things did not end so happily. On the other side of the 25ft "error", was the oposite side of a very large agricultural, empty, irrigation ditch. Btw, regarding the OME suspension, I?m definitly needing at least Tbars... I wonder how the OME would compare to the sway away or the iron man bars? Making a trip home soon and need to decide. ciaooooo
