Ok, does anyone know of an easy way of wiring up a E-locker that does not require a electrical engineering degree? I've been looking at forums for the past few months and they all include wiring digrams for building your own control box but honestly I can bake brownies and build a dog house but this stuff is a foreign language to me.

The easy way is to buy a kit from somebody like inchwormgear.com or 12voltguy.com. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Thats what I figured. So far this is the one I'm thinking of going with.

I looked at the inchworm kit b 4 and thought it looks like not much for $75. I just found this great looking switch from Low Range Offroad and am thinking I can come up with something using it. I'm not sure but the discrip makes it sound like you can wire this switch direct to the e-locker. What are your thoughts? http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/index.php...r-switches.html

Part of what you are paying for in those "kits" is the know-how and completeness if you're not sure how to do it yourself.

Yes, you can use those switches from lowrangeoffroad if you know how. I used standard momentary on-off-on switches and some LED indicators from Radio Shack when wiring up my buddy's lockers, but those are much nicer.

Also keep in mind that if you don't have the diff plugs/harness you'll need to buy those too, which are fairly pricey since they're new Toyota parts.

Good thing mine came with the wireing and vent hose on the diff. So you wired it so that the LED's come on when its engaged and one for disengaged. Its starting to sound a little simpler.

UPDATE: Low Range Off Road now has a wiring schematic on their website for wiring up their switch so I ordered one up. I really like the way the switch looks (labeled "Front Locker/Rear Locker)plus they also have one for air compressors that looks the same so they should make for a real nice looking control panel. I'll let you all know if it easy or not.
