Hey all, long long long time no post.

Recently installed the Toytec 2in. lift for the pickup/4runner/t100. It works fine, but i do have an issue. I currently have stock steel 16x7 rims off a 2003 tundra on the truck, and with the backspacing of the rim, there is only about 1/8 to 1/4 of an inch of space between the upper control arm and the sidewall of the tire. This is in all ranges of the suspension travel. I was wondering if you guys think that grinding down the little lip on the upper control arm would be enough to clear it, and still be safe. the lip looks to be the weld for the two pieces of the upper control arm.

thanks

Edit- If it helps, here is a picture of the control arm and steering knuckle.
