Need a Spot
I have a 2.0 DOHC engine that i am swapping into my mazda truck, Unfortunatly the wiring harness only has one o2 sensor and does not have a air intake temp sensor. My 98 sportage has 2 o2's and a Air intake temp sensor. Could someone please tell me what year had only one 02 and also what part number for the ecu i need?

Thank you

Ryan

Body Damage is Cool
My 95 DOHC only has 1 o2 and the 96 my Boy pulled the engine out of only had 1 also. AS far as I know the BODIs had 1 o2 and the OBDIIs had 2. The Part# on mine is (K03Y OBDI). The other # on it under the BOSCH logo is (0 261 230 894).

Hope this helps, Dennis

Well that does help a bit, It seems like i am starting to get somewhere now. Could you tell me, if you 95's ECU is an 88 pin ecu? And does it say motronic across it? I know its an odd question, But i am having TONS of trouble finding an OBD1 ecu.

Anyone here have an OBD1 ECU they are willing to part with?

Mine does have MOTRONIC on the case but it has 55 pins, 2 rows of 18 and 1 row of 19 pins. I know where one might be, my boy pulled an engine out of a 96 in the wrecking yard and didn't take the ECU. Wensdays is 1/2 price, I could go pick it up and you could paypal me the money. PM or email me if you want me to see if its still there.

I have the 88 pin harness, If you could get me one i would pay for it, Any idea how much they charge? Getting the 96 ecu would save me a Ton of hassle.

Let me know, And thanks again

I will go check tomorrow after work, if it's the 55 pin I won't pick it up, It it's 88 I will get it for you. I think the charge about $100.00 for an ECU so if I can get it 1/2 price it will be about $50.00.

I called the wrecking yard to get a price and they said the ECU was gone and they don't have another Sportage. My boy and and his friend go to wrecking yards alot, I will have them keep an eye out.

Good luck with your project and keep us posted, Dennis
