Getting the Wheeling Fever
The pre cat didnt look to be in bad shape but I am no expert on those. Plus I had already busted most of the material out of it. So I replaced the vavle cover and stoped the oil leaking into the back, moved the spark plug a little lower to match the others and for a few days things seemed ok. I also welded the leak shut on the exhuast but found another leak after that. I will be workin g on that today. a few days after making those fixes when siting at a light it felt like it was going to die, and then when the light turned green it just didnt want to go. Sputtered and bogged down pretty bad untill hitting about 15 - 20 mph and then stoped sputtering and drove fine. Every light does this now but not every stop. IF I stop for just a second like at a stop sign it doesnt do this, also the CEL flashes when ever this happens. I am going up to autozone today to get the CEL read. ANy ideas?

Come back with the codes and we should be able to help. At the moment it would be conjecture.

Well it turned out to be p304 or so the guy said. Cylinder 4 misfire was the reading. Looks like I am still dealing with this plug. I am about to take it all apart again (worst design for plugs ever) and see if I can figure out what I did wrong....

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Well I thought I had it fixed and I had. IT sounded good and was running better than it had. I was on my way to blue river from Louisville and all hell broke loose. I heard a loud pop and noticed my battery light on. I thought I had just broke the alt belt so I pulled over to look. I was wrong. The pulley that the alt and fan are on sheered in half. The bracket broke tore up the fan blades and sent one through the radiator. So in the parking lot I did my best to seal the radiator put on an electric fan ran to the battery for now and went to start it an no dice. I will put some pics up of the broken peice in the morning. I am reaching out on a limb here but could the number 4 coil have got coolant on it ans shorted out causing the other coils not to fire? Or if you have any ideas of what could have happened please let me know. I did not run it hot, I pulled over quick. It is turning over, the timing belt is still there and I now have an electric fan on it. This is my daily driver and I am at my witts end here. I am going to take it all aprt in the morning to take a look a little deeper as it got to dark for me to get deep into it tonight. Thanks for the assistance so far folks, I hope you guys can help me once again.

Body Damage is Cool
Sounds like the fan bearing let go or the nuts on the fan came loose.
Don't understand the no starting situation. Try some starter fluid and see if it will run.

Also, check and make sure the bottom drive pulley hasn't slid toward the radiator. If it did, then your timing belt might be the problem. Otherwise, maybe something cut a wire somewhere.

Keep us posted on your situation.

Well it looks like I am not getting spark. Pulled each coil and plug wire, stuck a plug in them and had my wife try to start it and got no spark 1-4. Any ideas what could cause that?

any chance the lack of a\spark could be the crankshaft positioning sensor? I was trying to start it and for a very brief moment it made that I am going to start sound, of coarse it didnt but it had the sound. Did this a couple of times but doesnt start and goes right back to the no spark\fuel sounding cranking....
