Will a 94 Toyota 2wd truck 5 spd, swap into a 86 2wd truck straight across? 22re is the 94 and 22r is the 86.

Ok, seeing that question got me nowhere. smile Is an 86, 5spd, 2wd transmission the same transmission as a 4wd transmission?

No, the 2WD has a tail housing for the rear drive shaft to slip into. The 4WD box has a mating flange for the transfer case to bolt to. Not sure if the tail housing can be swapped or not.
