Body Damage is Cool
Everybody pray among the mitsubishi gods that my clutch holds tomorrow, its been acting up for the past few months and I'm hauling a trailer tomorrow with and engine and some other parts. Not too much weight but definitely more than I should be with a slipping clutch.

Not quite what I expected to see when I saw the name of this thread. I'll wish you luck, but a prayer?

Why would you ask that? If you would fix your equipment there would be no need for prayers, from anybody, as if that would help anyway.

Dumb request.

Yeah I know the finger is acting up again, but...

Hey now, we all have been in a jam up where we need to use the rig even though we know odds are against us. Look at me, I had the Raider where it could only use like half the flywheel teeth when my Montero blew a head gasket. Still drove it 2 hours to works and she lasted for 2 weeks before finally giving up the ghost. Just gotta have hope and have cell batteries charged. I also drove my Montero on 2 blown headgaskets 2 hours from work with ZERO coolant the whole way home.

I think some peoples mothers didn't teach them a valuable lesson...the one called "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all".

and secondly, owning a JDM diesel is a bit more difficult to find parts for than a common truck like you yankees Monteros. try calling Napa to find a clutch for a pajero...Aint gonna happen!!! so unless you have the resources to find these kind of parts and know what your talking about...stay quiet!! I'll let you know how my truck does!

a Starion or Montero 4cyl clutch wouldn't pass for usable even if its until you get the right part?

Edit:

Just checked, not sure if its different for your size TD. Advance Auto Parts online thing lists the same part numbers for the Starion turbo 2.6 and the Might Max 2.3 TD. Might be worth looking into.

The 2.6 clutch would fit if I know the ring gear location between the 2.6 flywheel and my dual mass flywheel.

And the 2.3 diesel uses a regular flywheel and our JDM GEN II's have a dual mass flywheel. Which cannot be machined, so I have to source one of those too. I have done my research and I can switch to a single mass regular flywheel, miss match clutches from a 2.6 and pajero. But that's getting too washy for me.
