well the windshield I had ordered 2 weeks ago had arrived and it took me a week to find time to get it installed. I had ordered a PPG number FW711 windshield for a 1992+ Mitsubishi Montero, the same window that apparently did not fit our trucks and has caused a big discrepency over buying JDM glass for WAY too much money. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

prepping the new "Montero" windshield to be installed

setting the new glass in place

making sure its centered on the truck

NO MORE HOLE!

This shop did a lot of part number cross referencing just so they could be sure the glass fit aswell, and I was told if I bring any other Pajero customers to the shop they will get the same price I did. $360.00+tax installed, my final bill was $437.00 as I got new wipers and a aquapel wipe on the window to repell water, guaranteed for 6 months.

I highly recommend this shop as they do great work and they were able to do the windshield at 4:30pm after I got off work.

The shop is Fusion Glass in Red Deer and their phone number is: 403-342-1990

Can you post that into the parts section. Thats way better than the 700 I was quoted or the answer of "There is nothing available".

I hate to say this, but I paid less for my JDM import and install. You did beat me on shipping though! (We bought 2 from Mardy and someone drove to Van to get them.) Still, this is excellent news for the next time I'm on a fishing trip and some $#$%^#& in a minivan decides to pass me on a gravel road.

Does your glass have the green tint? I miss my bronze windshield, just have the green stripe now.

like the green sunshade on the top?? no it doesnt, I didn't want it. the glass has the grey tint though, same as original.

Yeah, mine has the green shade.

The glass guy I went to when I first got the crack said the bronze helps keep the interior cooler by reflecting infrared. Still, I got lucky that Mardy had a couple of Pajero screens in.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey, new member here, nice to check out more Pajeros.
Now for my question, I was told that the windshield for a LWB is different from the SWB, seems unlikely to me especially in light of this current thread on the Paj vs. Monty glass. Does anyone have any experience with this?? Also do the north american windshields come with the wiper defroster elements??

SWB and LWB windshields will be the same. and I'm not sure what you mean by "wiper defroster elements". Not sure if I've heard of this feature so I'd presume no it wouldn't come with it

Mine has wiper defrosters - kinda like the rear defrost, but they sit down low on the windscreen, where the wipers are laying. I've never actually used them, but it sure adds to the blingage.
