How's the frame with rust; that's rustbelt country, yes? Got receipts for your mods? You never really get your money back, so keep that in mind. Take a look at www.autotrader.com and see what's out there in your area for something similar. Nice rig; I'd get killed if I dragged another Yota home right now!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

Frame is like a rock.Looks good too! These don't seem to rust here like the 80's stuff. I've had an 87 & 88 that you could grab the frame anywhere in the back and pull a chunk off. Receipts maybe? Don't know if I have all the racing receipts left around or not??

While you have done a lot of stuff to it w/upgraded parts, you haven't done much to increase its value over its blue book value, other than the lockers and paint scheme(which could actually limit the number of potential buyers) Rebuilt/new parts only help you get the "Good Condition" blue book value, not the money you put into them, since a vehicle in "Good Condition" is expected to have no "worn or needing to be replaced soon parts" on it.
A good place to start w/pricing is the KBB value for good "Good Condition" for your area, and about half the cost of the 'Upgrade" parts you put into it, then add negotiating/haggling room, then adjust that amount for the market in your area. A clean rust free Toyota 4x4 may bring more in IL than here in CA where "Rust Free" has little added value. If it were here in CA I would list it for $5500, expecting to get something under $5k for it.

Thanks snow toy for the reply. I have never made any resale improvements. They have just been practical. If I could get 3k out of it the way it is today I would sell it. On Ebay I would probably get more. But 5.5 K is very generous. Thank you. 3k and it's out the door!!

Trying to accommodate the rebuilt engine, better head, header, and lockers, I used the "Excellent Condition", on Kelly blue book for my area. Here CA "Excellent Condition" would be $4k and "Good Condition" was around $3200, IIRC. I think your truck is an '89(carb), I used 1990 for the values above.
Take a look at http://www.kbb.com/]kellybluebook.com, and see what the value based on a stock truck in your condition for your area. Then add on about $500 for the lockers and performance upgrade, and see what you have. After that check out what other std cab 4x4's are going for in your area/state, craigslist.com will help you there, and then price your truck accordingly.
Given that you are only hoping/needing/wanting to get $3k from it, you shouldn't have a problem selling it. Just make sure that your asking price leaves you with enough haggling room to come way with what you are expecting, a smart buyer will want to offer you less, regardless of what you list it for.

Dang, with the work under the hood there, I'd seriously consider renting storage!
