Getting the Wheeling Fever
Not sure, but, it seems the RPM's are a bit high at 55-60 MPG. At that speed, my engine RPM is at 2300-2500. At 65 mph the engine is at 2700-3000. Any input?

Ah another Az'er welcome, check out our local forum on this site called Az Crawler Crew. Any ways you must be somewhat new to monteros, driving at 3000-4500 RPMs is no big deal for a montero. It's just how they are built, going up hills heading away from phoenix to flag, the rim or globe back when i had 4.27's and 35's i'd push 5k for miles with no issues now with the 4.90's and 35's still i'll do 3500-4000RPMs most of the way and i have almost 200k miles. hope this makes you feel better.

I'm running 235/75r 15's. I guess I'm a little paranoid. I am by no means a mechanic, but, I tackled replacing the wheel bearings myself. The vehicle no longer sounds like a p-51 mustang taking off. Thanks for the info.

Perfectly normal RPMs for a Gen 1 or 2 with automatic transmission and 235R 75-15s (OEM) tires.

Body Damage is Cool
Its not a V8, 3000rpm is nothing, most small engined cars run over 3000 at 70mph

I wouldn't complain at all if I was seeing 55 MPG...
