Those look really good. I may have to find me a set. Sounds good too. Is yours a manual? If so, it kinda sounds like some bearing noise. Maybe the pilot bearing or input shaft bearing. May just be background noise too...
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

Nice find, there's another Monty on the board that has those same wheels, looks good. Kinda dresses it up a little bit. What's the specs on those wheels (diam and width), and what size tires are you running?

It does look good. Here's a little trick to make you rig look a little newer and get good contrast against the aluminum wheels. Go buy a couple cans of spray on bedliner. Paint the inside of your fender wells. It's quick and easy. I did mine and love the results. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

What's the specs on those wheels (diam and width), and what size tires are you running? Thanks, They are 15x7 with 4 3/8" of backspace, the wheel says 8 offset. There are other ones like this that say '10' offset, not sure what the backspace is on those. I measured these and came up with the 4 3/8" so it may be plus or minus a few 8ths. They weigh around 16 pounds each, but are a flat seat so they take a special lug nut. You can't use the tapered seat lug nuts that our factory wheels use. I'm still looking for center caps and a 5th wheel for my spare. The Toyota wheel part number (as far as I can tell) is 69305. The lug nuts are 611-117 M12-1.5 x21mm and can be found on rockauto for a few dollars each.

It is a manual, what's pilot or input shaft bearing? Clutch stuff? Thanks for the info. Both would be located between the output of the engine and the input to the transmission, or thereabouts. Does the noise go away when you depress the clutch pedal? Usually, it'll sound like a light rattle that will kind of wind down after you push in the pedal. They are parts that should be replaced when you do a clutch job. John B.

SSHhhh... Don't tell everyone about these wheels ..LOL.. You'll make them hard to get .. Ive been running them on half the Mitsu's in the famliy for some time now.. Have run them on the Rally truck for tarmac runs .. Have had good luck with them ..And "I" like the way they look ..
I "think" the 8's are truck and the 10's are Toyota Land cruiser...In my travels I've never come across 10's.. Just a guess on that..
Whats the tire size...And how do you like them...???
Have a good day

There is a slight different sound when my clutch is in, but no rattle. Sorry I forgot to answer the tire question earlier, they are stock size 235's. The tires are Mud Kings, I'm told are made by BFG.

I have the 15x7 landcruiser alloys on my rig, and the stock lugnuts fit just fine.
