Body Damage is Cool
Hazy, I went into a shop in Lilburn today and ran across a Savage #340 in .223 for $259.00 on consignment. Blueing was good, nice wood stock but there were some light scratches on the LH side. Weaver scope mount with some inexpensive scope on it. Detachable swivels and a sling. It was missing the rear sight.

Cheap gun, cheap to shoot, accurate to boot. I would buy it myself but I just had a tooth crowned.

Mainstreet Firearms75 Arcado Rd. in Lilburn.(770) 931-0185

Too many 4x4's, not enough time or money

Thanks for the recon Bruce. I've already comitted to buying Frank's rifle and he's letting me make payments. I'm trying to get my head back above water after all the financial outlay of an engine overhaul and a wedding. Sounds like a great weapon for the kids, but I may have to pass or postpone for several months... Sucks not being independently wealthy...

Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

There's a pretty good machine shop (Ball Engine) and powedercoater (Billy's - not it's real name, just the owner - friend of my son and srtnate) right there on Arcado, too...
