Need a Spot
So last night I was driving home and noticed that my truck was revving really weird. I have a manual and noticed that when I got into 3rd gear and above my truck would rev really quickly, it would still accelerate but more slowly than usual. After I got home I noticed that my car smelled like something was burning, not good...Anyways, I am wondering what this could be, does my clutch need adjusting (if so how do I do this), do I need a new clutch, or what? My truck still shifts into all the gears perfectly fine its just when I get into the higher gears it feels like its slipping and not accelerating like it should and revving high quickly. Like I said I never have noticed this issue before my drive home last night. Any help would be appreciated I don't really know much about dealing with clutch issues.

Thanks in advance

What's the model on yer truck? T-100 or Tundra? I4, V6, or V8? How many miles? Any mods? Did you regear? Did you do anything prior to this happening?

If possible, shoot some vid and post it up. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Oh yeah sorry, I got a 4x4 V6 1996 Toyota T100 with a manual transmission. I haven't modded anything at all. Only thing I've dealt about the clutch is when I had to replace the bracket for the clutch pedal. It just started all of the sudden when I was driving.

yep you've worn down the friction surface of the clutch. time for a new clutch and pressure plate.
