Need a Spot
Has anyone found an illegitimate brother for the gen2 montero who's rear bumper is similar size and style? Im looking for something aftermarket that is ARBish but not as fancy.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
take a look at ford bronco II.

I drive a strada (truck pajero), and just picked up a double tube rear bumper for 40 bucks.

the frame distance is off by less than 1.5 inches. that allows me to box up the bumper bracket and add maybe 1/4" spacer, make new brackets to fit my frame holes and voila. bolt it to my frame and im happy.

of course i have yet to do all this, but it looks promising.

I could get pictures if you want. might help you out.

Believe it or not, with a 2" body lift the Jeep TJ bumper's frame rails are perfect with a set of 'spacers'.

As for ARB-like... I'm sure someone makes something 'like' the ARB design however the bottom of the rear most quarter panel may be problematic to protect. I simply chopped mine off and will eventually extend the bumper to cover that area.

Body Damage is Cool
I have been wondering how well some of the bumpers from a cherokee will fit. I have not looked into it but something to think about.
