Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hi folks,

Was wondering about belt quality these days.

1994 T100 3.0L V6

A few years back I had some recall work done to the engine. Something related to bottom end bearings or something. At that time (about 50000 miles) I had them replace the timing belt while they were in there.

What I was wondering was if anyone out there has had a timing belt failure on a Toyota 3.0L V6 and if so how many miles or years were on the belt. Is 100,000 miles on todays cam belts reasonable?

100k on the belt is normal and time to replace. Can't remember the actual timeframe per the manual but I'm sure the belt will last that long. I had 150k on my truck when I changed the timing belt (no I don't recommend doing that just didn't get around to it). The belt that came off my truck looked just fine.
