Something related to bottom end bearings or something. At that time (about 50000 miles) I had them replace the timing belt while they were in there. What I was wondering was if anyone out there has had a timing belt failure on a Toyota 3.0L V6 and if so how many miles or years were on the belt. Is 100,000 miles on todays cam belts reasonable? L 100k on the belt is normal and time to replace. Can't remember the actual timeframe per the manual but I'm sure the belt will last that long. I had 150k on my truck when I changed the timing belt (no I don't recommend doing that just didn't get around to it). The belt that came off my truck looked just fine.
