Need a Spot
Hi all

BT100 here, I've posted here infrequently over the years, been lurking mostly! Got a '96 T100 SR5 4x4 extracab w/104k miles. Lifted it with a 4" SL and running 32" BFG all terrains ( I know, gotta get some 33's). Anyway, have any of you used bilstein 5150 shocks on a lifted T? I'm having trouble finding part numbers for these so If ya got #'s that would be great! Also anybody know of a U-bolt flip kit for these trucks, looking to get the shock mounting plate up out of harms way! Any info or comments are helpful...
Thanks
BT100

I have them on my truck. I have 35" tires with a 4" lift so the length would be different. You also need an adapter to convert the top post style shock to a hrizontal bolt style, since the 5150s dont come in a post top. That will also affect the length you need. See JK Adapters for the conversion piece.

Good luck

Thanks Kookadala!

I also have a 4" susp. lift so the shocks I need should be the same as yours. I don't have a body lift but that shouldn't affect shock length. Would you happen to have part numbers?? Do you feel they (the 5150's) are a worthy upgrade from the 5100's?? I will track down the adapter needed to convert "eye to post" mount for the front, Thanks again..

I found this from an old post of mine, which also reminded me that the 5150s I have are too soft for my heavy front bumper. Keep this in mind if you have an aftermarket bumper/winch, you want a different valving for your shocks. Good luck, Jed

Body Damage is Cool
BT, check Trail Gear out, too. I got my ubolt flip and shock mounts from them. There was some bad blood/customer loyalty stuff between Trail Gear and Marlin for a while iirc, but I think it's passed for the most part, and fact of the matter is TG is quality product.
