I've been on my own for just over a week now. I'm starting to get the hang of finding free WiFi access, but I usually don't have time or I'm just too stinking tired to bother with it.

Anyway, I'm in Iowa right now. My load won't deliver until Monday and all the rest areas in Iowa (except 1) have free WiFi.

So far, I've been to WA, OR, CA (of course), NV, UT, WY, CO, NE and IA. Not sure where I'm off to after I unload on Monday.

I'm SOOOOO glad to not be listening to talk radio all day every day That was OK for a couple hours each day, but listening to all the conservative radio programs on satellite radio, then the same hosts on their tv shows (also broadcast on XM) got to be extraordinarily repetitive. Such a waste of a constant, coast-to-coast radio signal. Well, not to my trainer, I guess.

Anyway, I'm just happy to be working again. OTOH, I don't know when I'll be able to fix my truck so I can go wheeling again. Either I have plenty of time to fix it but no money for parts or the other way around.

Who're you driving for? If you get out northern OH way, you just might end up at my location loading ketchup! Stay safe out there sir!

Yeah... I'm not quite ready to start downloading those again, yet. I will again, soon. I need to learn this job, first.

I'm a fan of NPR while on the road; could find them most anywhere. A lot of the Haul Road guys also listen to books on tape up here, as once you get into the Brooks Range, you're out of reception.

Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote.
