I've been looking at custom rear coils but the response time has been rather slow. I'm curious about the OME Coil Springs. Specifically, I'd like to find out about the heavy duty coil spring.
Is anyone using these springs? How much actual lift did they provide? Ride quality? Articulation equal or better than stock?
Thanks in advance! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />

Got them in my Gen 3, front and rear. Got close to 3 inches on my set of Heavy Duty's, but I figure the will settle a half inch.
It rides firm yet comfortable. Minimal body roll on road, much less dive, and no sag-ass with 5 on board.
FWIW, the Aussies seem to like the OME springs but steer clear from the nitrocharger shocks. Kings and Lovells get high marks too.

Hey Doug -
Thanks for the info. I've had the OME springs on my 99 4runner and they performed very well too.
I'm reluctant to purchase these springs for the 95 Montero because they are only rated it lift it 1.25". I'd really like to see closer to 2". I'm curious to hear if the actual lift is more than 1.25".
Thanks guys. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

I have the med. duty coils in the rear, but looked into purchasing the heavy duty. When I spoke to the rep. in Washington, he told me the heavy duty was a constant load spring. They recommend them for vehicles that carry a heavy load all of the time... tools, work vehicles, etc. I was told the med. duty are a variable rate coil. I've never had an issue with the rear end sagging, even with two weeks of water, gas, etc., and it rides very smoothly when unladen as well. The valving on the OME shocks and struts have show excellent performance in conditions varying from snow to high speed desert tracks. Good Luck
