Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
Hey guys, sorry for the novice post, and i realize this has probably been covered here a lot already. I just dont have the time this evening to do the research. I have a 95 LS monty with stock wheels. I was going to get new tires and currently have 31 10.5 15R. WHats the biggest size i can put on my stock wheels without any modification? Thanks

33x10.50x15 or 33x12.50x15 with a little rubbing in the front. Do both sizes rub or just the 33x12.5? I was thinking about getting the 33x10.5 if they fit ok. Thanks

33x10.50's will fit fine.
Fasteddy's advice is occasionally sound...

So, i was thinking about getting the 33x10.5x15 on my stock wheels. I mentioned this to my bro, who doesnt have a monty but who knows trucks and tires pretty well, and he acted as if thats a big a$$ tire. WOuld that really look all that huge on my truck? Anybody have a picture of what 33s look like on a stock rig? I had 31s on there which look fine, just thought i wanted a slightly bigger look. Any info would be appreciated.

If you are looking at the 10.50 width tires then they should not look much different than what you are running. it is only going to be 1" all around the tire. So if you are worried take your hand on top of your current tire around it to see how much room you will have between the top of your hand and your fender. This should help answer everything. Do not forget to turn your tires and see how much room you have with the tires at angle to your fender, but like what everyone on here is saying you should be fine. Here is 33x12.50 with no lift. Old picture the only one I have. ![[Linked Image]](http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h33/hdchevyguy/P6210161.jpg)

Below are some photos of mine when my 33x12.5's were like 1 day old. Of course mine is an SR, so it sits just a touch higher, but as others stated, you should be fine. Even though mine are 12.5 wide, I still don't have any rubbing up front and I do not have any lift except for about a 1.25" t-bar crank. Or rather I wouldn't if I would get under it and replace the steer stop I have right now that is missing it's end cap. I don't bother though because the only rub is on extreme left hand turns and then is only light rubbing on the sway bar... Anyway, here's the photos.... Hope that helps you a bit!
