Love Mitsubishiparts.net - wait around for 2+ weeks for the parts you order - and then open the box to find that only half of it shipped because they don't carry the other half.

So the critical pcs I'm in need of are outer boot bands for the cv axle. Anyone find a place that sells just these bands? Everything I've been able to find will only sell the whole deal.

Find a local CV axle rebuilder. He'll have anything you need and more - with maybe better quality boots than the OE stuff.

Too bad Mag Auto no longer does internet mail order mitsu parts. I had the best luck with them. They shipped from an actual Mitsubishi Parts and Service department so you could get every part that was still in production.

Huh - never dawned on me that there would be such a thing - but there's one in MKE so thanks Frank

You know Doug - I'm doing a search and there's a lot of new sites I haven't been to that have a parts # search field. When I have the time I'm going to research everything out there and post a thread of all these sites and anyone that's had an experience can post up.

The 'in-stock' status on mitsuparts.net is bogus - that is fo sho

I had to do a quick inner cv just before Moab, and I used two large hose clamps (offset the worm gears for *balance*). They held up, and just now I'm thinking of leaving them there...
