I have been wanting to replace the shifting indicator on my Gen I, now I found one on a donor car but I cant figure out who to get that plastic shifter handle off so the plastic piece will slide up off of the shifter stalk. Any help much appreciated. tnx

the lower accordion section pops off and slips down, then disco the wire connector, then take out the 1 or 2 screws that hold on the upper handle...
