On my 86 Toyota truck 4x4 2.4 EFI..need the right part number for the cold start injector switch which is to the left of the temp sensor under the T-Stat housing,it is brown or black. The OEM part listed is 89462-30011 but that is a square female plug and mine is oval at the ends. This truck has a different engine, the previous being a turbo, and perhaps a carb instead of the now EFI,does that make a difference? There's an updated part number 89462-20050,does anyone know if this has the oval female plug?

If you want to get a used one, there is a guy who sells on e-bay that has a good rep and I'm sure he could match you up with the right one. If you want to go that route just find an item that he is selling on e-bay click on ask a question and tell him the situation:
mmccul3797 is his his ebay name.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Co...rts_Accessories thanks, but is this part compatable with my 86 Toyota truck 4x4 w/2.4 EFI?Mine looks like this one on e-bay with the oval female plug ending, not the one called for by OEM #89462-30011 which has square corners.Anyone know? Can't answer any e-bay stuff as my computor won't allow it for some reason.Appreciate any info/or if someone could contact that e-bay chap for me..thanks.

I pulled the plug off my 87 EFI and it is square... I'm a little confused thiugh....isn't there a sensor in your engine that would have a p/n on it? I found the ebay guys phone # on a box he shipped me a while back if you want it.
