I should be home in Placerville, I can offer the grille services and air for tires parts of that weekend.

Richard,

Alas for my entertainment schedule. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Now that I'm federally employed in another town, my task is to relocate the family, goats, and the Montero Ranch. We will still be in Placerville during the intended days of this run, though.

we didn't get underway until friday morning.
dropped off hwy 80 at colfax and worked over to french meadow. spent 2 nights.
tried to get thru the hell hole jeep trail, but couldn't get past the rock fall "gate keeper" that has always stopped me. camped at hell hole.
made a stop at uncle tom's cabin on the way out monday.
came out via georgetown.
only got stuck a few times.
a few wrenching stops to fix things. my winch quit working.
overall quite successfull run. very dusty in some places(lots of logging activity).
thinking about next month.

i also had my fuel guage quit and had the fusible link on my alternator go weird(fixed).
winch turned out to be ok when i got home- should have messed with it a bit more out there.
my brother lost a fuel pump. we wired/plumbed an electric pump that got him home. did that at uncle tom's- took a couple of beers......

re:fuel guage
found cooked wire from the sender on the tank. burned the insulation all the way into the float sender unit. replacement unit on the way. looks like some wire repair up the loom is nessessary.
also noticed my rear/lower shock mounts have been taking a beating. may fab up a different(and higher)mounting for them.
