Has anyone ever really thought exactly how much money these guys make on parting out vehicles?? I parted out an old toyota on craigslist and made several hundred on it AFTER I took the parts I wanted..seems to me nows the time to start a salvage yard....

Another florida guy! Make sure you save the MitsuS! Every yard here ends up crushing them thinking they are isuzus!

Frank's company has a great business model. Buy at discounted scrap iron price, sell off a few parts, salvage the mercury switches, fuel, and fluids, and then crush it and sell it for scrap. they really don't care much at all about the parts sales, which is why tha parts are so cheap, and pulling those parts is usually removing stuff that isn't good scrap metal anyway.
