Body Damage is Cool
My sister, an oncology veterinarian with Carolina Veterinary Associates http://www.carolinavet.com/index.html, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 4 years ago. While this news was devastating for her, it has continued to challenge our family in different ways. She's my only sister, stays super fit, and has always made me proud in every step she's taken. In the last year, she's run 2 half marathons and 2 full marathons and is currently training for the next full marathon!

Earlier this year, Claudia asked if I would like to join her and her husband Bryan on September 25, to ride the MS 150 - from Charlotte, NC to the coast. I was excited at the prospect of joining them, and supporting this cause. Unfortunately, I've continued to battle lower back problems, and was forced to call my sister, and let her know that I simply could not participate this time.

Since I view many members of the 4x4Wire community as extended family, I thought it may be appropriate to post this here, and see if anyone wanted to donate to the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society, and or sponsor my sister's ride. I've included links to her personal MS 150 page, as well as the page for her team at Carolina Veterinary Associates.

I hope you'll take a moment to check out the links, and donate on her page if you feel inclined.

My brother, I know your pain. My daughter was diagnosed with MS just short of 2 years ago. If I had it, you'd get a donation from me, but I'm broker than a Pinto, so I'll add my request for support to yours on behalf of Sarah Katherine Jones Berwind, one of my heros.
