93 ex can, 22re 5 spd.
When in any gear, clutch on, when I give it gas, I can feel the shifter rock rightward. When you let off, it goes back. It's not huge but very noticible with your hand on it.

Would this be worn motor mounts? Or maybe the tranny mount?
I'm assuming the engine torque (115 hp of fury!) is twisting the drivetrain relative to the frame...

Check them and know for sure. How? Jack up under the oil pan and watch the engine move. If it lifts and bit then the frame starts to lift, mounts are OK. But if one or both sides of the engine keep lifting, that mount may be broken.

hm, cool, idea, thanks.
Isn't one side more prone to failure?

When i rolled my truck it ripped off both motor mounts.
Just grab 2 new rubber "isolators" from toyota, fully remove the mounts, replace them, and re install. might be easier with a cherry picker.

Yes, I think it is the driver's side that tends to get pulled too far up under load (usually an issue w/ dual cases). A simple chain works well to protect the rubber in the mounts:
