They do require a torque value of 80 lb-ft, a thorough cleaning of the deck holes with a bottoming tap plus a check for clamping range and a possible grinding of the bolts for any length issues. How about some consistancy Mitsubishi? Well maybe Densmore put metric threaded plug in. Anyway they were the wrong thread. That's not all they did wrong on this rebuldt shortblock,,,that's why they are out of business , I recon... dave h.
