Im having problems with my 98's front power seat. I have always had to play with the control to get it to come back up from the recline position. But lately it is not moving back and forward. It does work intermittenly if I play with it long enough. This wouldnt be a problem expect my 16 y/o (short) daughter drives the truck to school from time to time.

The truck is currenlty at the dealer getting the a t-belt and valve job. Dealers only solution is a new system to the tune of about 1k. I tired apart oll the connections and cleaning them to no avail. Any other suggestions?

go get me the DR bouncy base and seat from the junk yard and you can have mine, i forgot which yard it's at i'll have to ask RyanY. That is if the junkyard seat is cheap and worth it for you. I really don't like having power seats, if you had this problem earlier this year i had 2 working power seat setups that i would have given away but now they are in a landfill somewhere. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I had the same problem, One Time. I "fixed" mine with electrical contact cleaner spray after removing the plastic trim and removing the switch components. If you haven't done it this way yet, it's worth a try.
