Body Damage is Cool
So, my chrome grill is flaking off and the parts truck one was gone. I need to paint this one I guess.

Any tips as far as prep and paint choice?

Light sanding with 400 and 1500 grit sand paper, then use Krylon plastic paint...color of choice.

Yeah that Krylon is good stuff. works well for "refreshing" the black accents around the vehicle.... if a tree or rock hasnt removed them for you <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shiner.gif" alt="" />

I've been using Duplicolor's Trim Paint during my truck's refresh. It only comes in satin black, though...

krylon! Cheaper and really glossy! just did my head light surrounds.

Thanks for the tips guys. I have a can of "Trim Paint" that is satin black, unsure of the brand. Bought it back when I was wanting to clean up the window trim pieces. Found out I could just buy new pieces instead!

Will post pics of the results.
