Runs great in first through third. Fourth it starts lacking for power at 2800 rpm WOT. Fifth has little power and is almost impossible to hit 2800 rpm. In fifth it will start top pop like a backfire into the carb. New cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter is good, and pump seems to fill the filter fast. Any ideas? Re: Stumbling in top gears. Sounds to me like its leaking. Changed the fuel filter..same problem. Checked the Air cleaner, Hey, whats that hole in the rubber seal??? Replaced and all is well again.
