Lookin' for a pickup or 4runner. My question is: When there is not a hitch or wiring (4-wire flat) already installed, do these frames come from the factory pre-drilled (holes) where a hitch would bolt up, or does a person have to make your own holes? I suppose they're pre-drilled, but I dunno.

Also, what is involved in wiring up a 4-wire flat harness?

I think the trucks are rated to two 3,500 lb. A class II hitch will bolt into existing frame holes. You will need a 'converter' box to run a flat-4 trailer connector since it has combined run/brake lights, which the truck do not. Just splice into the existing light wires. A wiring diagram is a big help here. Figure $150 for a Class II hitch and $50 for wiring and the box if you install yourself.

Thanks. Sounds easy enough.

Body Damage is Cool
I have a class 3 on mine, got it from JC Whitney I think.
Bolts right up (have to remove the bumper, then bolt it and the bumper together in the same holes).
