i have seen some pictures of 86 and 88 model trooper diesels that had the updated crate engine installed, and there's an oil reservoir mounted on right inner fender as part of the crate engine install.what does that reservoir really do? is it added capacity or a prelube thing just curious thanks dan <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

the oil reservoir on the side is for the oil that is captured in the PCV system during normal operation, it collects here and must be drained- although both my engines had this and i never had to drain either of them.
