Getting the Wheeling Fever
Should I get the head gasket fixed or just get another engine as the current one has 173 thousand on it?

I am a walrus.

At 173k, if all other systems are decent to good, I'd have the heads gone thru by a machine shop and rock on. Make sure you clean your deck real well and chase the head bolt holes with a bottoming tap.

and read "bob's 3.0 engine" for some very important points on head bolt length. I've been known to shorten up the head bolts a couple of threads just to be safe...

Body Damage is Cool
I put new manufacture heads on mine at 240k. Now I have almost 270k. . Need to find out if coolant got into bottom of engine- Seems that the 3.0's tend to just blow out -not in.
