So I am the proud owner of an ex mine landcrusher. I am trying to find body panels except for the hood. Anybody here have any leads?

Likely NOT here. Might give the ih8mud guys a shout, might get a nibble from there. Got pics? Spectre (sp) Offroad might be your go-to parts guys. Also try www.fjparts.com

G&S has nothing at this time I am seriously thinking about parting it out, but had a brainstorm. I found a forerunner with a glass top and was thinking, why not drop the body on? The frames are only 5 inches in length different. Good idea?

I tend to disagree - anything that old and cool should be salvaged if possible. Are the body panels not save-able? I wonder if you'd have to get them from someplace overseas.

so far no luck with the overseas guys. I've emailed a few Aussie wreckers and they haven't answered. I guess they think that I am not serious. The panels are pretty rough, but the frame is in good shape. I was thinking if getting an aqualu set up, but that is just as expensive as getting anything else done, and they don't do 70's. Its a 1992 BTW, so not really "that old" just rare to see on the road.

found an early 4 runner with a decent body and a pooched driveline. 500 bucks looks like there will be enough room in the bay for a hz. Now its a matter of mounts on the lc frame, and some hydro work.
