hello, Is it possible to find a rear locking differential on a 95 Montero ls ? I saw one today and it has a hose going into the differential on the left( drivers side) I have read that only the sr's came with the lockers. did all of them came with it ? thanks

94-96 (& possibly 97's) SR's all came with lockers. LS' didn't.

Doesn't mean someone didn't swap in an SR rear end to get the locker. May also be a breather hose (dont recall what side they're on).

What you saw was most likely a differential breather tube. Trace it back and if the line goes to the tube in the frame then its not a locker line.

Good point. I know some of the 93/92 SRs had them but wasn't sure if they all came with them... Anyone know?

Diff breather most likely.. It is easy as pie to swap in a factory locked rear end though so if you happen to find a smoking deal on an LS then go for it. You can always just swap out the third member and an axle with an locked SRs too. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

The entire locked rear end from an SR averages about $450
