Hi again folks..

My missing tooth anoyance of the last 3.5 yrs finally cooked the bendix (or that is my guess)

I think I have one more "start" left in it to get to the garage.

Now I have a post into the buy and sell for another (and maybe someone knows a source in AB or BC) but this post is to ask on the plausibility of just rotating the fly wheel..

I know the best remedy is to replace the plate. That is understood, but the engine always seems to stop at the same group of missing teeth. This leads me to _speculate_ that if the plate were to be rotated a full bolt hole set or so the problem would go away for a time being.

Does any one know if the plate is symmetrical in its bolt pattern?

Also is there any method to repair the wheel.. I am guessing no but I thought I would ask.

Thanx

After contacting a couple parts suppliers it looks like I need a Flex plate not the fly wheel.. My bad - Nomenclature is everything..

So I have one offered as a replacement gear ring @ $280 and one as a flex plate assembly at $575.

Can anyone look up the part number of the actual thing (for fear of using the wrong word) that the starter meshes to upon starting on a L049G-3016784 Chassis?

Thanx
