It is nice when these big advances happen especially when you are out in the country.
We got DSL up here in the hills of Vermont 12 years ago. Advanced to a 20meg modem a few years back and they are now setting some poles and we get fiber optic to the house next year. Nice to have a progressive phone company here. They are also over the next three years installing a G4 network so everyone can be online everywhere in the region. I tend to forget that not everyone has a good connection to the world.
EB you will find it easy to not have to sit and wait so long to reach out.
>>>*Some of you folks may have noticed I tend to be up around 3 or 4 in the morning, like this morning it's 2:30?
Before I sort of had to because it all took so long. Now we can even play the videos which means I can know what some of you folks are talking about!
Before, the island we live on did not exist, so many times I have heard someone on the phone tell me that our location does not show on their maps, now it does.
It just hit me that in some ways that might not be a good thing...*LOL**..Still, what took me four hours is now 30 minutes, I find myself all done and looking around for something to do.
*World's best Christmas present I say! The neat part is the $14.95 per month, some kind of "bundle" deal since we have so many other systems with Quest. That one I still don't quite believe.
No other presents for us this year except for the new TV, now I am loading up the pretty little wife and off we go to party somewhere!
Merry Christmas to all of you and Happy New Year!...*EB & Le'
