Did a search, and checked the FAQs. Didn't find a "Here's what fits." guide.
Will they rub, either width or height?
Thanks

Thanks I assume you don't know how to calculate what those numbers mean in terms of tire size? 285 is the tread width in mm. 60 is the 'aspect ratio' which means the sidewall height = 60%x285mm=171mm=6.73" 6.73"x2 (top side wall + bottom side wall) + 16 (rim size)= 29.46". HTH. That's essentially a 29" tire which is pretty much the STOCK tire size.

I did know that it was a little over 29", but I'm running a 235/75/15 currently, and I didn't know if the extra 1" (or so) of height would be too much difference for the stock suspension.
More importantly, the extra 50mm of width seems to be the difference between a 6.5" wheel and an 8.5" (if my math is right). That 2" of width is (proportionally) MUCH bigger than the 1" of height.

It's roughly a 11x29, and should fit just fine, since 10.50-31-15's fit

No problem and thanks for noting there is no thread in the FAQ post on tire sizes. I'll certainly have to rectify that soon. It's probably one of THE TOP 5 MOST asked questions.

Thanks for the info, guys!
I found a set of wheels that will go great with my Raider plans, I just didn't want to buy them before checking for fit.

http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlI've used this tire size calculator for years - gives great comparisons for tire sizes.

I like that the calculator even feeds the speedometer correction information. Mine reads about 2 mph faster than my GPS claims, and these new tires will pretty much correct for that.
