I am swapping an L67 Supercharged series 1 into my 91 Isuzu Trooper (The ZU). Has anyone done anything like this? Any info would be fantastic. The Trooper was originally powered by a GM 2.8L V6 from the factory. Still have the tranny.

Dan (Houlster here) did it in an Amigo a few years ago. I am not sure what search terms to use to find the thread. I don't believe he used the L67 terminology. I am not familiar with all the issues he ran into, but I know that he used a Megasquirt and did his own fuel map.

Thanks. Yeah it seems like he had to swap the SC for a rwd sc from a Lightning. The throttle body flange is up against the firewall on the stock sc. I think i can make room in the firewall and fab a 90* angle on the sc for the throttle body. Shoot the intake piping out the fender into a snorkel up top. DONE. Easier said than done though. We will find out. If anyone has any other good info on a swap like this, its greatly appreciated. Motor mounts, ECM and harness, and tq converter are some random things that I will need a little "American Engine-uity" to complete. Thanks.

Houlster is arguably the most sophisticated "engineer" on this site. I would suggest that you try to get hold of him by PM to initiate a discussion on the specific questions that you have. Certainly the rest of us would appreciate you posting up here a summary of the discussion.

If he doesn't respond, as he isn't here often, then get back to me either by PM or on this thread and I will try to reach him on a back channel.

I let the good deal on the Series 1 pass and found a deal on an entire car with a Supercharged Series2 3800.Going to pick it up this sat. The series 2 has much more power and the ecm and harness will be alot easier to use.
